There are quite a few new and exciting things about the latest eCatholic free theme website design. One truly unique characteristic, however, is its story.
This latest free theme website design is named after a long-time friend of eCatholic, Terri Moser. Terri’s belief in eCatholic started from our humble beginnings, when she met our founder and CEO, Josh Simmons, before he ever thought eCatholic would grow to what it is today. However, Terri loved our mission from the get-go. She worked with us as a client for nearly 14 years while serving in church ministry.
Terri was known for her dedication, friendship, strong faith, and authentic servant's heart. She was the kind of person who brought a spark, a ray of sunshine, when you passed her in the hall, went to her events, or answered her phone calls.
Terri was that person who you meet the first time and you instantly feel like you have known her your entire life. She always had a smile on her face and she loved to serve.
- Jason Jaynes, eCatholic Chief Operating Officer and St. Catherine of Siena parishioner
However, when Terri realized she was not going to be able to stop her cancer, she reached out to us. She wanted to keep giving. She discussed the idea of gifting a custom design website to her parish family. Later, St. Catherine of Siena in Austin, Texas went live with a new site that was inspired by Terri.
As a way to honor Terri's life and memory, we've named our latest free theme Moser.
For a different spin on the usual square shape, Moser offers longer vertical-shaped default buttons with plenty of room for descriptions or subheadings. Or if you’re up for a change, fill in the space between buttons by showing off large stunning imagery with the full-width option in the module settings.
When using Section Layouts, select default background illustrations for added style to your content. Choose from a fun scribble, an image of Our Lady, or Our Lady and the child Jesus with the Magi. Want to add your own photography? Check out the black overlay option for adding a stunning dramatic effect.
Notice additional finishing touches like the brushstroke illustration below the homepage feature region and interior page images. Bold frames around images draw attention by adding more color to content.
Using Section Layouts? Don’t miss another flexible styling option for publishing news, events, and button modules in a full-width view.
Terri was one of those ministry directors we all sort of know. The people who pour themselves into their work surpassing all expectations. Terri did it, not only because of a deep passion for her faith and work but because of her love for everyone she encountered. As director of family ministry at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Austin, she focused her work on helping couples and families live out their Baptismal promises.
After passing away in February of this year, Terri is greatly missed by her parish and so many others. However, her legacy and love live in so many people - influencing ministry and parish communication to this day. You can read more about the life and impact that Terri left in her local community by reading this special bulletin created by her parish family.“We’re not supposed to have favorite customers, but every conversation I ever had with Terri since 2013 was just filled with contagious joy. She left quite the impression, and it’s just hard to forget someone like that!”
- Joe Garcia, eCatholic Senior Evangelist
