FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUSTIN, TX and BOSTON, MA, August 4, 2021: eCatholic, a technology SaaS company with its own website CMS, online giving, and live streaming products, has acquired GabrielSoft, a Catholic SaaS company based in Boston, MA focused on church management for dioceses and parishes.
“Our mission is simple: to help the Church fulfill her mission of evangelization by providing amazing software and phenomenal service,” stated Josh Simmons, Founder and CEO of eCatholic. “GabrielSoft will help us continue on the path towards this vision.”
Simmons founded eCatholic in 2005 and the company has since become the world's largest provider of beautiful Catholic websites and currently serves over 6,500 dioceses, parishes, schools, and ministries in the United States and 19 other countries. In 2015, eCatholic expanded its portfolio to include a donor-focused online giving and payments platform, and in good timing released a live streaming platform before the pandemic of 2020.
“Our goal is to help the Church more effectively communicate, evangelize and engage people through beautiful, simple tools that foster relational ministry,” said Simmons. “We’re excited to welcome the GabrielSoft team to the eCatholic family!”
GabrielSoft’s church database management began in 1999 for a single Catholic Church in Attleboro Falls, MA, and is now serving parishes around the world and dioceses around the country.
“Our goal has always been to provide software that ensures administrative work does not detract from valuable time that can be devoted to ministry,” said Armand Brunelle, Founder and CEO of GabrielSoft. “Now that Gabriel has joined the eCatholic family, parishes and dioceses can finally streamline ALL of their data and communications through one centralized platform!”
Collectively eCatholic and GabrielSoft have partnered with 24 dioceses and archdioceses in the U.S. to onboard every parish onto their platforms.
“These partnerships allow (arch)dioceses to share website content and online giving forms to every parish website, sync people data and records, and allow for parish and diocesan communications with just a few clicks,” said Joe Garcia, Senior Evangelist for eCatholic. “We’re looking forward to adding even more sophistication in the coming months as this partnership matures.”
“We are inspired daily by the priests that we work with from around the world as we witness their constant love, sacrifices, and struggles in leading their flocks,” said Simmons. “We hear you and are working hard to help solve those challenges.”
People are searching for God and a digital presence is an opportunity for the Church to get her foot in the door. Once they enter, our faith communities can take it from there and eCatholic and GabrielSoft are ready to help.
